ここでは、ロールプレイ形式の「キャラクターカード」を使って、違う人になった つもりで素早く想像力を働かせ臨機応変に会話を続けるトレーニングをしましょ う。このテキストでいつもしているように、たまに自分の経験を交えて話してみて もいい練習になります。遠慮せずにどんどん話していきましょう。

Pick a card and look over your character’s info. This is now “you.”

好きなキャラクターカードを1つ選んで、そのキャラクターのプロフィー ルに目を通しましょう。今から、そのキャラクターカードの人物が「あ なた」です。

Interact with your classmates in character. Begin with a greeting, then get acquainted:

そのキャラクターカードの人物になりきって、クラスメイトとおしゃべ りしましょう。まずは初対面の挨拶から始めて、続いていろいろなプ ロフィールを交換して知りあいましょう。

Where are you from? Where do you live now? What’s your major?

What year are you? Are you in any clubs? Do you have a part-time job?

Use the info on your character’s card to help you make answers.

キャラクターカードのプロフィールを見ながら話してみてく ださい。

Go beyond the basic info on the card by using reactions and improvising extra details.

カードに書かれている基本プロフィール以外にも、何でも自由にプ ロフィールを付け加えて話を広げていきましょう。リアクション表現 なども積極的に使ってください。次の会話例を参考にしましょう。 A: So, where are you from, Roberto? B: I’m from Brazil, from a city called Sao Paolo . A: Really ? I’m from Wakayama Prefecture, which is near Osaka . B: I see . I live in Tottori Prefecture now, not far from the sea .

A: So, where are you from, Roberto? B: I’m from Brazil. A: Where do you live now?

B: I live in Tottori Prefecture. △
