Step 1: In the green boxes, write another version of each question (open or closed). Step 2: Partner A asks Partner B the questions in the red boxes. Partner B gives their own original responses. Step 3: Partner B then asks Partner A the questions in the green boxes . Partner A gives their own original responses.

This activity is for students to practice the open and closed versions of the questions studied in the lesson. Using a variety of question forms in a conversation makes it sound more natural and interesting.

1. Fill in the blanks in questions 3 and 4 with adjectives. 2. Interview three classmates and make notes of their answers.

Students move around the classroom interviewing a few classmates and taking notes of their answers. This is a particu larly dynamic moment of the class.
