How Do I Use the Google Forms? Of course, this textbook is designed to be used in a traditional classroom setting- that is, the only equipment needed to bring the material to life is textbooks, writing tools, and a blackboard. However, students can also submit their answers and responses to exercises in this textbook online, through Google Forms. This is especially useful if you are teaching the course online, but it can also be an interesting way to collate and present student answers in the classroom. Students can Yill in the forms at home, or during class (provided that you and your institution allow students to access the internet during class).
Here is a step-by-step guide to using the Google Forms that have been created for teachers for every section of this textbook. 1. Contact Alma Publishing to request access and provide us with a gmail address or an email address associated with a Google account (as is the case at a number of universities). We will then share the Google Forms with you. 2. Duplicate the Forms and save them in your Drive. 3. Modify them as you see Yit by adding questions, deleting questions or getting rid of automatic marking. 4. Distribute them to your students. CLASS TIP: When collating students’ written responses using Google Forms, it might be a good idea to have each student type their name before or after what they have written, since all sentences are listed together and students sometimes cannot identify their own work! If anonymity is preferred, just tell each student to remember which of the sentences is theirs.
